SAKURA, AN INTENSE YET BRIEF NATURE OF LIFE....

Tired, fatigued, hungry, sleepy and irritable, thats how i felt when we reached Wuling Farm in Taichung Hsien before dawn of March 4, 2012. We left Taipei City at midnight to beat the daytime traffic, drove the whole night with some occasional stop along the way for much needed break. It was still dark when we got there, so except for the car park, there is nothing much to see. My thoughts during those times was, oh boy, I hope this was worth the trouble that we went through just to get here. Comes daybreak, this was what greeted us at Wuling Farm, 40,000 or more Sakura blooms en masse. So was it worth the sleepless travel by night to get there? The beauty of Wuling Farm speaks for itself.

The Sakura or Cherry Blossom, behind all its beauty and grandeur has a short-lived life and it falls at the height of its beauty rather than wither away. During world war 2, Japanese pilots would paint the sakura or even bring branches of the sakura before they embark on suicide missions. We, like the Sakura, lived a temporary life in this world and like the Sakura, we have to live our life meaningfully. Let other people remember our beauty and kindness before we fade away.
